New names for user rights + new user role- Mette Zacho
Dear agenda producers in Prepare
We introduce a new user role in the committees, and at the same time we have chosen to clear up the names of the current user roles.
CURRENT USER ROLES THAT CHANGE NAMES
A user in Prepare can be a member of the committee, agenda producer or administrator. We have not changed the last two roles - they are still the same.
But as you can see in the image above, we have changed the function: "Read agenda" to "Committee member". The rights are quite the same as before, but for good reason, you get a quick review here.
"Read agenda" changes name to "Committee member":
A committee member can read all open and closed agendas in the committee and has the right to view both open and closed documents in the agenda. Members of the committee also have access to the committee if it's closed.
"Agenda producer" are still called "Agenda producer":
You know all about that role ;-)
But if you want to know more, read here: What can an agenda producer do?
"Read unpublished agenda" changes name to "Reviewer":
With this right, the meeting participant will be able to read an unpublished agenda before it is released.
EXTRA MEMBER = NEW USER ROLE
"Extra member" ... is our brand new user role.
An extra member has the exact same rights as a committee member. This option can be elected to members who are not the primary legal members of the committee. In this way, you can quickly summarize who is the primary members.
At the same time, the user role makes it easy for meeting participants to see if they share comments with a committee member or an extra member.
HOW DO I USE THE NEW ROLE "EXTRA MEMBER"?
Find out if any of the current committee members are not "real" committee members in the committee. Then go into the settings of the committee and tick the "Extra member" checkbox for those users who are not "real" members of the committee.
The users will be able to see completely the same things as before, but it will be helpful for you as a agenda producer because you now have an overview of which members that actual are members are in the committee.
